Redefining Sample Preparation for Automation: Harnessing the Power of Barcoding Options for Streamlined Efficiency
You don’t need to start your automated workflow with printing labels yourself. You have options when it comes to creating an automated system in your lab.
In this webinar, we will explore how options in identifying samples can streamline your lab operations. We will uncover the pitfalls and best practices associated with barcoding implementation and how a barcoding system optimizes sample preparation, enhances throughput, and reduces errors. The importance of assigning each sample a Globally Unique Identifier (GUI) will be emphasized, ensuring complete traceability and data integrity throughout the laboratory workflow.
Join us for this insightful webinar and gain practical insights, best practices, and actionable strategies to increase the productivity of your laboratory.

Fully Automated NGS Sample Preparation Using a Digital Microfluidics Platform
The MIRO CANVAS NGS prep system is a compact digital microfluidics platform which enables full walkaway automation of next generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation and hybridization protocols. The system uses novel technology to automate complex protocols, greatly reduces reagent usage, and provides compatibility for multiple NGS platforms. An innovative microfluidics cartridge is used to automate all protocol steps, including mixing, thermal cycling, and bead cleanups. INTEGRA will highlight use cases and results based on protocols for long-read sequencing—such as PacBio sequencing—as well as short-read sequencing applications, including whole genome sequencing (WGS) and target enrichment.

Connecting Multiple Labs and/or Experiments: Unifying Science on Lab Automation Level
First, there was benchtop instrument-level automation, then integrated instrument automation, and now infrastructure-level automation—the ability to connect data and unify science across multiple geographically distributed labs or even separate workcells under the same roof. Automata is providing solutions that integrate benchtop instruments and smaller automation with a single digital platform to maximize utilization of existing lab instruments and information networks.
Director of product applications at Automata, Russell Green, will showcase with real use cases how to bridge existing automation together to achieve end-to-end automated workflows in the transition to infrastructure level automation:

The 3 W’s of Introducing Automation—Why, Who, and When
Integrating manual processes with automation equipment can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Any manual pipetting can be automated after analyzing the lab’s automation needs and wants. This webinar will review the reasons to automate and will aim to make pursuing lab automation approachable, especially for those just starting to consider an automated liquid handler.
To best understand how to successfully introduce liquid handling automation to your lab, one must analyze why automation may be an appropriate step, who must be involved in the process, and when you can expect to be up and running with your new robot. The presenter will cover the advantages of introducing liquid handling automation to the lab and what to consider once you’re ready to make that step.

Improved Water Testing with Titration Automation
Water testing labs ensure the safety of our water supply and protect public health. To accomplish this, a single water sample undergoes a multitude of analytical tests. The immense volume of samples coming into a water lab can be overwhelming for analysts and instrumentation alike unless processes are fast and automated. Titration automation with multi-parameter analysis allows analysts to combine tests like pH, conductivity, hardness, alkalinity, and even turbidity on a single instrument.
Join this webinar to hear Dylan Lyon, inorganic chemist at the Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services in Virginia, discuss how titration automation has increased laboratory productivity and positively impacted their ability to provide high-quality testing services to support local, state and federal agencies. Kerri-Ann Blake, product manager for titration at Metrohm, will share automation solutions that improve sample workflow and water lab efficiency.
