ABOUT THE EVENT
The 2022 Lab Manager Leadership Summit took place at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland. The Summit focused on key management, business, safety, and staffing challenges facing today’s lab managers.
The program’s expert speakers provided the critical information and practical advice lab managers need to lead their teams to higher levels of engagement and commitment.
Topics ranged from lab safety and sustainability, to effective communication, to the challenges of managing a scientific staff.
In addition to the valuable information gained from the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to interact with and learn from each other in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
The winners of the first annual Leadership Excellence Awards were also honored at this exciting event.
Lab Manager is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program.
AGENDA OVERVIEW
Day 1 – WELCOME RECEPTION
Monday, May 16
Attendees were welcome to register at the hotel and enjoy networking and socialization opportunities with colleagues in the field of lab management.
Day 2 – FULL DAY
Tuesday, May 17
Tuesday’s program covered topics related to leadership, lab safety, and more. There was ample time between presentations for networking with peers. Additionally, the winners of Lab Manager's inaugural Leadership Excellence Awards were recognized and celebrated in front of their peers. After a packed day of presentations and networking, we got to enjoy America’s pastime by watching the Baltimore Orioles play the New York Yankees at Camden Yards.
Day 3 – FULL DAY
Wednesday, May 18
Wednesday's presentations offered valuable advice and strategies for lab managers in all stages of their careers, from seasoned professionals hoping to sharpen their skills, to new lab managers learning about valuable educational resources and helpful management techniques.
