DESIGN DIGITAL SUMMIT
Building or Remodeling the Optimized Lab
As science and technology progresses, the physical lab space must advance, too. New facilities are being built to accommodate modern science and growing research programs. Older spaces are being renovated and other spaces are being retrofitted to create state-of-the-art scientific workplaces. Design/build experts must work together with lab managers and facility managers to determine what a new lab needs, and how to keep a project on time and on budget.
Lab Manager will host lab design experts speaking on these issues and more during its Design Digital Summit on June 14-16. Lab planners and design/build professionals will discuss effective communication strategies between lab managers and design/build teams, to help all involved develop a design plan that accommodates many different requests while setting realistic goals. Learn about some of the biggest challenges faced during the design or renovation of a laboratory facility, and strategies to overcome them. The winners of Lab Manager’s third annual Design Excellence Awards will also present case studies of their winning designs, showcasing the best new design strategies in Innovation, Safety, and Sustainability in today’s labs.
