What is the deadline to enter?

All entries must be completed and submitted no later than December 13, 2024. 

Who is eligible to be considered for these awards?

The Lab Manager Leadership Excellence Awards are open to anyone who works in a laboratory or scientific organization which has a scientific-based mission and involves data acquisition and analysis. Eligible participants among industry labs or scientific organizations must also oversee at least five direct reports and/or have supervisors reporting to them. Those who manage academic labs are also highly encouraged to enter. Job titles can include lab manager, lab director, principal investigator, among others. Entries can be self-nominated or submitted on behalf of someone else.

You may contact the Lab Manager Leadership Excellence Awards at leadershipawards@labmanager.com with any questions. Any inquiries related to completing and submitting your entry must be received before the competition extended deadline of December 13, 2024.

Can you offer me feedback on my entry?

Individual feedback on submissions will not be offered. Please see our Guidelines page for information on how to submit your best possible entry.

Is there an entry fee?

No, the Lab Manager Leadership Excellence Awards are free to enter!

How many entries may I submit?

You may submit as many entries as you like, but each individual being nominated must be submitted separately.

May I enter the same person in multiple categories?

Yes, you can submit the same person for multiple categories. However, the same person cannot win in multiple categories.

When will winners be announced?

Lab Manager will proudly announce the winners of the Leadership Awards at the 2025 Leadership Summit. Winners will be notified before the Summit and will be invited to attend the in-person Summit free of charge. Winners will receive a plaque, free admittance to the Leadership Summit, and a featured article published by Lab Manager. 

Will I be notified if my entry did not win?

Only winners will be notified prior to the Leadership Summit.
